Fǎshī Shi Wan Heng

In his childhood he drove cattle to pasture for the landowner. When he was a teenager, China was in a national disaster and faced numerous problems and difficulties, which is why he joined the army. He took part in the War of Resistance against Japan and the Battle of Huaihai. After the liberation, the new China was founded.

 

He retired to the monastery and became a devout Buddhist disciple. He studied, practiced in the monastery and his hard work was amazing! His motto: "If you don't train for a day, then you shouldn't eat for a day either. Amituofo"

 

Regardless of whether it was windy or rainy, spring, summer, autumn or winter, he trained nonstop. His spirit and vitality were respected and admired by following generations!

 

After reforming and opening, China opened its doors to the world. Gradually, the Shaolin Temple also established the "Shaolin Temple Monk Team". Master Shi Wanheng has been invited to join the Shaolin Temple's first team of monks to make long-term visits to countries around the world to hold Shaolin Kung Fu cultural performances.

 

At that time he was the oldest and the first on the international stage to show the fascinating Shaolin Kung Fu Tongzi Gong to people all over the world with the honorary title of main demonstrator.

 

Although having been about 73 years old at the time, his body was still as soft as a baby's due to his regular, non-stop exercise. When performing Tongzi Gong on the stage, every single movement of his astonished people and made them applaud loudly.

 

He left people from all over the world with deep and unforgettable memories. For many years Master Shi Wanheng traveled all over the world. Likewise his footprints can be found all over the world.

 

Wherever he went, he was greeted warmly by politicians, organizations and people in general. He worked very hard to better spread Shaolin Kung Fu and Chan culture in the world. He dedicated himself to Shaolin until the end of his life and made an immeasurable contribution to make Shaolin better for all living beings.
